What Should I Do?

Don't do what you will to do. Get rid of self.

Rmns 7:15
“For what I am doing, I do not understand. For what I will to do, that I do not practice; but what I hate, that I do.”

For what I (my soul, inner man, real me) am doing, I (carnal, outer man, flesh) do not understand. For what I (my flesh, my sensual feelings) will to do, that I (inner man, real me) do not practice; but what I (my flesh) hate, that I (real me) do.

See the different meanings of “I” in the verse.

‘I’ means ‘Ego’ in Greek. “I” means self-seeking, seeking to fullfill own desires. Giving more importance to self-will rather than God’s will, His Words. Getting rid of “I” is not easy. Surrendering ourselves into His hands will makes us to come out of ourselves and takes us into HIM.

To live a successful Christian life, we should be following our inner man, not our flesh (our own desires of the flesh, of the world). We need to do what we (our flesh) hate and what our inner man really loves, what the Bible says. We may have to go against ourselves many times.

Our feelings should not stop us doing God’s will. "For we walk by faith, not by sight." 2 Cor 5:7. We should not be living sensually, but by faith, just believing what the Word of God says, even when the circumstances around us look absolutely hopeless and negative. That is the real faith.

Love you. Bless you. And God bless you.

Remember - More than anything, God loves you richly and with an everlasting love.
